School Uniform

The Governing Body is strongly in favour of school uniform being worn by all children and encourages parents and carers to send their children to school wearing the appropriate clothing, most of which can be purchased at the school office.  The uniform is an important part of our school identity and helps children to feel a sense of belonging.

Please ensure all clothing is CLEARLY LABELLED  – preferably with sewn-in name tapes.

Uniform is available to purchase from the school office, for sizing information, please contact the school office.
A list of current pricing for uniform is available from the school office.

Our uniform policy is available from the school policies page..

Our uniform is based around the colours blue, yellow and dark grey

·         Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan

·         Yellow or blue polo shirt

·         Grey trousers or grey skirt or pinafore

·         Grey or blue tights with skirts or pinafores

·         Grey, white or blue socks

·         Black school shoes (not trainers or slippers)

·         Blue or yellow gingham dresses and grey shorts may be worn in warmer weather

Black shoes (not boots) with a flat heel. If it is a wet or cold day and your child needs to wear wellies or warm boots to travel to school, they will need school shoes to change into. Open toed sandals worn in summer are not suitable for running around and climbing during playtime and pose a health and safety risk. Please ensure closed toed shoes are worn in summer.

Uniform at Playtime

During summer, sun hats are encouraged to protect from sunburn. Trainers may be worn at playtime; if your child wears trainers to school they may be kept in school for use at playtime and PE.

For PE all children need:

  • Royal blue t-shirt
  • Blue PE shorts
  • PE bag
  • A pair of trainers for outdoors
  • Long dark coloured PE trousers (tracksuit bottoms, leggings, jogging bottoms)
  • Warm dark coloured jumper

PE kits should be kept in school all week in case PE days change or the weather changes resulting in the need for cooler or warmer kit

All items in a PE kit including the PE bags should be fully named

 Learning Outside

Where appropriate, lessons can be taught outside. This can happen in all weathers. Please provide wellington boots and a waterproof overcoat when required. School will provide a small number of spare wellies and overcoats for pupils who cannot provide them.

On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school except a watch and stud earrings.

Makeup and Cosmetics
Makeup and cosmetics are not considered appropriate or consistent with our school uniform. The school does not permit such products to be worn by any children, unless there is a specific event for which the Head has given permission.

Lost uniform

Each school phase will have a lost property container where lost property will be stored.
